En una conferencia de prensa fueron anunciados los 50 semifinalistas que van a tomar parte en la preselección maltesa.

El 8 de Enero se elegirán las 22 canciones que pasarán a la ronda final en una gala retransmitida por la televisión maltesa. El sistema de elección será 100% televoto.
